By Lauren Baker, PULSE Greeks for Wellness Coordinator
I want to share two up-coming Valentine’s Day related events that are sweeter than the holiday candy. Remember that a healthy relationship with yourself, family, friends, or romantic partner needs to have elements of love, respect, and a sense of giving back. Lululemon’s ♥ Your Body Week and Alpha Chi Omega’s Healthy Relationships Week (HRW) are worth checking out and a great way to treat yourself and celebrate this next week and holiday.
Lululemon’s ♥ Your Body Week
Show your body some love this Valentine’s Day by checking out new fitness studios around Ann Arbor from February 11-17th. Stop by the Lululemon Showroom (3rd Floor at 623 East William Street) to pick up a punch card that allows you to try as many classes as you’d like at the eleven participating studios listed below for only a $10 drop in fee!
Participating Studios: Barre Bee Fit, Studio West, Vie Fitness & Spa, Real Ryder, Pure Barre, Ita Yoga, Joust Strength + Fitness, Lumina Sanare, Wildly Fit, Arbor Fit Club, and Applied Fitness Solutions.
Remember that group fitness classes are a great way to stay motivated through your whole workout and if you commit to going with a friend then that will help you get there in the first place!
Alpha Chi Omega’s Healthy Relationships Week
As the PULSE Greeks for Wellness Coordinator and a member of Alpha Chi Omega, I wanted to share how one Sorority on campus is trying to change the conversation around forming and sustaining healthy relationships. Healthy Relationships Week, which takes place February 11-15, offers some ways everyone can get involved to promote healthy relationships.
Here is what Alpha Chi Omega has to say about the week and how it relates to our philanthropic commitment:
“As members, we dedicate ourselves to raising awareness of domestic violence. The goal of HRW is to foster the development of healthy relationships and by so doing, prevent domestic violence. HRW is an excellent opportunity for us to support this cause near to all of our hearts.”
